Resilient Pathways LLC

Resilient Pathways was built from a simple belief: prevention should be accessible, practical, and rooted in human connection.

I grew up in Houston, Texas and now call rural Northern California home. My personal experiences and professional journey have shaped the work I do today. As a survivor of domestic violence, a member of the LGBTQ+ community, and a first-generation college student navigating unfamiliar systems, I understand what it feels like to need support and not know where to find it.

During college, I often discovered resources only after I needed them. No one had explained what was available or how to access help. That experience showed me how important it is to create environments where people feel welcomed, informed, and supported before a crisis occurs.

My passion for prevention was also shaped by loss. Growing up, I witnessed friends and community members struggle with alcohol and other substances. I lost people whose lives ended far too soon. Those experiences reinforced a lesson that continues to guide my work today: prevention is not just about education. It is about giving people real information, practical tools, and opportunities to make informed choices.

Today, my work focuses on violence prevention, substance use education, harm reduction, LGBTQ+ inclusion, and student well-being. I believe people deserve information that is honest, evidence-informed, and free from judgment. Too often, prevention focuses on what people should not do. I believe we can do better by helping people build skills, strengthen relationships, and connect with resources that support their goals.

As a social worker and educator, I have worked with students, faculty, staff, and community organizations across a variety of settings. No matter the audience, my goal remains the same: to create spaces where people feel seen, heard, valued, and connected.

Through Resilient Pathways, I help organizations build safer, healthier, and more inclusive communities. Whether the topic is consent, recovery, mental health, substance use, or belonging, I strive to make learning engaging, practical, and relevant to everyday life.

I believe prevention is not about perfection. Prevention is about connection. It is about reducing isolation, increasing support, and helping people recognize their own strengths.

Because when people have access to knowledge, support, and connection, they are better equipped to build their own resilient pathways forward.
